Most of these common pain points are usually due to your everyday life routines- Prolonged sitting, poor posture, lifting heavy objects with bad form repetitively and the list goes on.

Well, there are numerous reasons why this is the case. Number 1, have you seen a health practitioner about your pain?  Do you actually know what the problem is? Number 2, Do you know what exercises/positions are needed to be done or avoided to help reduce the pain? And lastly, number 3, are you actually fixing the main cause of this pain? Posture?   1. For Chronic pain, see your health practitioner (Physiotherapist, chiropractor) for diagnosis and temporary relief. While waiting for your appointment, the

combination of ICE and Hot water will give you temporary relief as well.

  1. Once your practitioner has assessed your pain, they will advise you with exercises to do and also what to try and avoid in the meantime. At this stage If your pain is not putting you at total rest then this is a good time to get some blood flow through the body to maintain healthy muscles.

Why does exercise help prevent and repair injuries?

Increasing blood flow throughout the body will bring oxygen and nutrients to the injured areas, as well as help flush out any metabolic waste that was created as a result of the injury. Safe exercise is a perfect way to increase the blood flow and reduce stiffness.

  1. Nutrition- Your body, muscles, joints and bones are feeding of whatever the minerals and nutrients you supply them with! Making sure you drink enough water, eat enough fruit and veggies and stick to a 80% healthy diet (We all have our treats, 20%) is crucial to reducing inflammation and flushing out toxins from the body.
